Introducing “Club Spotlight”
We have set aside this page to “Spotlight” our 100+ Member Clubs. If your Club has an interest in being spotlighted, please send a request to Commodore@CBYCA.org indicating your interest, a brief overview and history of your Club, services offered, special events planned, unique service to the Chesapeake Bay area, and any other information you feel would be of value to other CBYCA Clubs or prospective members. Ideally, we would love to have an entry for each of our Clubs to share!

May 2026 – Bridesburg Outboard Club
Founded in 1954 by ten longtime residents of the Bridesburg neighborhood, the Bridesburg Outboard Club has grown from humble beginnings into a proud and family-oriented boating community along the Delaware River in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The club originally operated out of a small shack at the end of Jenks Street, serving local boating enthusiasts who shared a passion for the river and community fellowship.
In 1998, the club relocated to its current and permanent home at the end of Buckius Street. At the time, the property was an overgrown and nearly abandoned piece of land that many believed could never become a functioning marina. Through determination, volunteer effort, and dedication from its members, the club transformed the site within a single year into an operational facility complete with a boat ramp, pier, and clubhouse. Over the years, additional construction projects and improvements helped shape the property into what members proudly consider one of the most beautiful riverfront locations on the Delaware River.

Located between the Betsy Ross and Tacony-Palmyra Bridges, the Bridesburg Outboard Club has become more than just a marina. It is a place where generations of families gather, many of whom grew up watching the club evolve and improve over the decades. The organization prides itself on maintaining a welcoming atmosphere, strong hospitality toward fellow boaters, and a continued commitment to preserving and enhancing its riverfront home while honoring the industrial and maritime history of the surrounding community.
