On Thursday, March 21st, the Secretary of the Department of Interior released Secretarial Order 3373 protecting recreational access to waterways, including the protection of such interests on the sale of public land.
The order gives the Bureau of Land Management 45 days to update its handbooks relating to the assessment process for lands to be sold, and 180 days to construct a complete database of all properties identified for future sale.
